Community Ecology

We are interested in understanding how species assemblages change over space and time and using a variety of tools including population genetic and species diversity frameworks. We are currently  are looking at changes in species abundance and functional diversity in Upstate New York freshwater fishes. We are also starting projects focusing on the relationships among diversity and the provisioning of ecosystem services in areas as diverse as Fiji and Long Island.
